On December 6, 2025, CYAC participated in the Carolina Carillon Holiday Parade in downtown Columbia. CYAC participated and performed dragon dance as well as lion dancing. Everyone loved both performances very much and it was a very successful event. We also held a CYAC banner while walking in the parade. Some of parents helped to carry the new CYAC flags we just made during the summer. President Weiquan of Chinese Association of Columbia taught CYAC members to perform the lion dance 4 or 5 consecutive weekends before the event to make sure it was on point. Some difficulties arose with it raining and the road being slippery, and some of our members slipped and fell. Despite these problems we were able to power through and had a great performance.
